Go on Record with the 2008 QB Prospects

We're a day away from the draft and we still don't know who is even going #1. This year's crop of QB's is clearly inferior to last year's crop. Thank GOD we got Mahomes when we did!

That being said, it's time to go on record with YOUR predictions on this class. Please rank using these 3 options;

1. Bust
2. Wins a playoff game
3. With his team 10 years from now.

Here's mine:

Josh Allen - (3) He's Carson Wentz' little brother. Big guy with a big arm that comes from a tough weather environment. Would be Cleveland's best pick IMO. IF they sit him a year like Mahomes, he could be Cleveland's savior.

Josh Rosen - (2) Has the potential to be an Aaron Rodgers. Can come in right now and win. Has the brain of Aaron too. I see some team getting a gritty Kirk Cousins kinda guy. That said, he doesn't win a playoff game until his 2nd team.

Baker Mayfield - (2) Depending on the team he goes to, can win a playoff game quickly in his career. I see Mahomes in this guy with a winner mentality. Problem is, these windows in the NFL are tighter than college. Seems like all of his highlights has no defenders within 5 yards.

Sam Darnold - (1) Bust. I like the kid a lot and was even more impressed with his decision to not drink or do drugs early in life. He's driven and mature. That being said, I just have a gut feeling he's another Matt Leinert.

Lamar Jackson - (1) Bust. This guy is even more of an enigma than Mayfield. Another love/hate kinda guy. I have friends that are Louisville fans and watched him quite a bit. I never saw this guy look at more than one receiver before taking off and running. That doesn't fly in the NFL. This and the 13 on the Wunderlic says he's another Vince Young.

Matt Ryan (Gonna have a great career).
Joe Flacco (He'll win a Super Bowl, but be pretty mediocre other than that.)

But I could definitely see Chad Henne be a backup for the Chiefs in about 10 years.

The Chiefs will continue their steak of not drafting a QB in the 1st round, and instead trot out a combination of Brodie Croyle, Tyler Thigpen and Damon Huard.

We need to wait until 2009 and draft Mark Sanchez instead.

Knowing the Chiefs, they'll probably just reach for a bust D lineman or something, ala Sims.

I’d keep an eye on Matt Cassel in New England. He’s one injury away from blowing this league up.

I just saw a kid at a peewee football game. He was killing it. Throwing strikes way downfield. I think he’ll be eligible for the draft in about 9 years. He’s gonna be a star... names Patrick Mahomes II, if all else fails we should zero in on him the year he comes out. Has SUPERSTAR written all over him!!

Why worry about a QB? Defense wins championships.

Or a really, really solid O-line. I think we should draft a LG.
