Rain man? Kirk Mitchell February 14, 2019 at 12:38 pm Categories:Colorado News, Latest News, latest-headlines, News What may be the most sought-after survival story in America today is about to be told by the as-yet-unidentified Colorado runner who recently fought off an attacking mountain lion and choked it to death with his bare hands. So far, only a few things are known about the man. He’s a trail runner. Before the attack, he read up on how to survive a mountain lion attack. He lives in Northern Colorado. He’s in his early 30s. But other details about his background are a mystery. Journalists from across the world have sought a more complete description of the man’s life-and-death struggle with the wild cat on Feb. 4. After recovering physically from bites to his face and body — and mentally, too — he’s offering up what’s being billed as a one-time description of what happened that day on Larimer County’s Horsetooth Mountain. He’s scheduled to give a press conference at 1:15 p.m. The runner will not give any individual interviews following the news conference and half-hour question-and-answer session Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials said. He will then be going on a vacation where he can’t be contacted, according to Rebecca Ferrell, spokeswoman for parks and wildlife |
