This is a franchise that has made the postseason 10 times in the last 14 seasons.
Reached three World Series in the last decade, and won as many championships (two) the past eight seasons as it did from 1965 to 2005.
Our new Manager has more post season experience than any other manager in baseball, except the Giants manager.
Three million attendance? Take it to the bank.
60 post season wins since 2004. 20+ wins more than any other team.
Only one of the last 14 seasons has been a losing one.

I don't know if the team can afford to trade Lynn. Miller is starting to look like a major question mark rather than a solution, Kelly has always been a fringe starter, Garcia is straight ass and he's always hurt, and Marco Gonzales is still a year away.

You'd like to think that Rosenthal and Martinez could be solutions, but if they can't handle the pen, why should we trust in their ability to make it through a lineup three times?

Martinez should be starting. He was lights out this spring. He's always been a starter. Kelly has been successful out of the pen. Switch their roles. Rosenthal should be given a "real" chance to start next spring. We get a new solution for a closer next year.

We have several starters in the minor leagues that look like they can be #3 or #4 starters.

The thing that really pisses me off. Look at that shift all he's gotta do is bunt and the Orioles win.

Cruz went on his own. If he waits another 10 feet. Then goes full speed he's safe. What happens if Davis just takes a swing and hits the catcher? The catcher shouldn't be in front like that.

Stroman isn't exactly a scrub spot starter, though, he's a top prospect pitching his 2nd MLB game. He shut down the Royals last weekend too (not that that's saying a whole lot, I suppose). If he turns out to be legit for the Jays, it could make a huge difference this year.

I read Showalter was the one who called for it. Seems like an odd time with Chris Davis up (especially considering Cruz isn't fast).

Ah, the story I read left out the "he" part of that quote. Even more odd that a player with Cruz's speed would just take off in that spot.

And as much as I love Yadi, I really think we need to throw Cruz out there a little more. A lot of pitchers seem to respond positively to him behind the plate.
