Andy Reid is a terrible head football coach

Andy Reid got depantsed in the Super Bowl by Bruce Arians.

Bruce ****ing Arians and Tom ****ing Brady.

Well, you see, Andy Reid is an offensive genius, and how dare we question Andy Reid's genius in not running the ball and not utilizing the screen pass in the face of an epically brutal pass rush, a patchwork offensive line and a QB with a hurt toe?

How dare we question his geniusness?

This sounds familiar:

Collectively, the Eagles were shaking their heads following Super Bowl XXXIX. It didn't make much sense to them.

Donovan McNabb throws for 357 yards and three touchdowns. Terrell Owens makes a miracle comeback from ankle surgery in less than seven weeks and catches nine passes for 122 yards. Jim Johnson's blitzing schemes caused Tom Brady to be slightly off his game, getting sacked twice and uncharacteristically being off on most of his 10 incompletions. But the Patriots won 24-21.

The loss was baffling to the Eagles. Critics wondered about the lack of urgency during the Eagles' fourth-quarter touchdown drive that resulted in a 30-yard touchdown pass to Greg Lewis with 1:55 left. Down by 10 points with 5:40 left in regulation, McNabb and the Eagles didn't go into a no-huddle offense. The Eagles ate up too much clock on that 13-play, 79-yard touchdown drive.

"I don't know what happened," Eagles tight end L.J. Smith said.

The Eagles were unable to explain their clock management at the end of the game.

First coach to have 3 winning years in a row in KC to start his career and off to a 2-1 start this year.

Does he have warts? Yea.

Is he a BAD football coach? Give me a ****ing break. I bitch at the TV like anyone else but winning is the end all be all. Period.

Ask yourself who you would 100% trade him for coaching wise and get back with me. There may be 3 or 4 coaches. Think about it.

We've already seen it over and over here.

It's what he does. It's how he's always been.

He is a good coach with warts that occasionally looks looks like a genius.

The problem we have is that the personnel on the field doesn't mask his weaknesses.

McNabb and Vick masked them somewhat with their inherent aggressiveness.

Whomever decided that it was a good idea to run behind our 3rd string RG on 4th and 1 should not call plays anymore. The RG we just brought up from the practice squad last week.

Deshaun Jackson or Terrell Owens didn't hurt, either.

Well I guess you are right. Marty went 8-7-1 his first season. I suppose that's a winning season.

Reid has the most wins his first 3 seasons.

I think the players love him and play their ass off for him.
So they were playing their asses off for him against the Texans?

Andy Reid is not a bad footbal coach. He is, however, a very CAREFUL football coach. Nothing is done without intense scrutiny and analyses. So, I'd offer that we're not going to be seeing things on the field that are spontaneous. Everything's going to be well thought out and carefully orchestrated. And, Reid has the perfect QB for this attitude in Aex Smith. Nothing like a double-dose of CAREFUL to yield a rather boring product.

That said, such carefulness isn't all bad as over time, this generally results in success. Nonetheless, if spontenaeity is ever a good thing to have on the football field, well, under Reid, we won't have it.

To wit, did you see Reid thinking about going for it (or not) on that 4th and one today? You could just see the gears grinding. To suggest that he was decisive about it would be incorrect. Think that carries over to his guys on the field? I do. Little spiz and way too much furrowing of brow. C'mon Andy, get outa that shell every now and then and let er rip!!!
