Boys, I think I have it all wickered out.
The chiefs trade Chris Jones to the cowboys, bears or lions for draft picks.
Come October, the vikings end up 1-5, and Jefferson wants out. The chiefs pounce, sending the tyreek package to the vikings (2024 1, 2, 4; 2025 4, 6) and extend Jefferson for 5/150ish. We net lower draft capital, but swap old Chris Jones and his cap hit for 24 year old Jefferson. Join me in fantasy land and sleep deeply dreaming of the mahomes-Jefferson connection.

And I just now see that we extended Jones. Dammit Carl!

Edit 2: I see this deal is basically a face saver for Jones and his agents. The plan stands.

Update: we just need to beat the vikings and they will have started 1-5. The plan is coming together.
