I can understand where you are coming from but Wade is not HC material and will never be anything more than a DC again in the NFL. So why not work with someone that you know and respect and that has respect for you and what you are capable of doing. To leave a team because he doesn't want to work under someone that has worked for him seems like he would be cutting his nose off to spite his own face. It should be easier to have success where he is rather than start over yet again. It probably really comes down to the almighty $$$$.

Reid was an OL coach at the college level for 7 years before working as an OL coach and offensive asst in Green Bay, followed by 1 season as the QB coach.

No "various capacities" there.

Their resume's prior to getting a HC job are not all that different.
