Dak has been in the NFL two years longer than Lamar... don’t act like it is a 10 year difference to mask the fact Lamar has choked in his two playoff games and hasn’t led a fourth quarter comeback in nearly two years as a starting QB (Dak has nine 4th quarter comebacks).

Let's do the team flip for Dak and Jackson. Lamar is now a Cowboy with that line and weapons, and Dak is a Crow with their line and weapons. Who has more success as a QB?

Offensively, the Ravens are nothing special at WR or TE but I think Dak gets more of out the passing game than Lamar ever could, so I'll go with Dak. Baltimore was really exposed Monday night. They don't really have any transcendent players on offense or defense (outside of Jackson's athleticism and running ability) and as much as the Bengals, Browns and Steelers have improved this year, Baltimore could be looking at an 8-8/9-7/10-6 kind of season. New England, Dallas and Tennessee could really cause them problems this season, too, because once the Ravens are down by 7, their offense falls apart. |

Lamar would either have to learn to run a typical pro offense in DAL or they'd have to reorganize their offense to suit Lamar. But since we're blue-skying here, let's just assume he'd have to learn to run the DAL offense as is. This year I don't think that would go that well. But DAL isn't really ideal for a QB like Lamar. What if he went to, maybe the 49ers? Could he operate that offense in place of Jimmy? I think he probably could. Oh, there's things that Jimmy is better at, but he's not a great QB either. They aren't asking him to carry the team either. |

Dak is just Dak. He's basically a more athletic version of Derek Carr. In fact, he's a lot like Carr in that he's got some impressive stats for people to ohh and ahh over, but no significant wins. Don't get me wrong, I'd take Dak before Carr no question, but it's hard to really see a huge difference in their level of play when the big game is on the line.
On the other hand, Lamar might just be Lamar. Or he might grow into a Vick, just without the cannon arm. Or maybe he becomes something like, oh, Donavon McNabb. But a lot faster. My personal opinion is that Lamar will get better as a passer. He is working on the craft of QBing, and from all reports working really hard. Will he reach an elite level of QB play? I doubt it. But if he could get to Dak's cerebral level, say, with his other physical attributes he'd be pretty damned dangerous. |

While that's certainly not the End-All-Be-All in determining NFL success, that's a pretty low score for a QB that's expected to learn and process a "normal" NFL offense and read and react to NFL defenses. Dak scored a 25. |

It doesn't just test if you can get the right answer. It also tests how fast you can get the right answer. People really don't learn how to think faster, even if they can learn by volume. |

But a low score on the Wonderlic test doesn't necessarily mean that a person can't learn to do a basic pre-snap read does it? I mean, Marino managed and his score wasn't that great either. |

But a really low score is generally an indicator that a person won't be able to do anything well if it requires problem solving, especially quickly. |

Not to mention, Dak is in a weak division.
