We're down to our ten finalists now, so this round will have only two heats.

Same rules as before. I'll put the nominees up in random clumps of five, and you'll pick the TWO musical acts that you would most like, or least hate, to see on the world's biggest stage as the Chiefs face some NFC team next year.

The rules are more or less non-existent. Lobby for anyone you like, post videos for us, and make any arguments against totally insipid groups and rappers. Convince us one way or the other.

I do love how the Foo Fighters, who haven't had a top 40 hit since 2007, are considered the young guns of this tournament.

I guess the NFL was doing it right back when the halftime show was always whatever classic rock act they could manage to dig out of the ground.

I'm just joking around. I started listening to one of the youtubes you just posted in the "What Are You Spinning" thread and I was really getting into it until the vocalist started growling. For some reason that kills it for me.

Me too. I'm just razzing Rain Man for his girlish taste in music.

And in all honesty, prior to about 5 years ago, I detested growls and stuff. I started branching out into other genres of music and the growling became kind of a necessary evil if you want certain styles of underlying music (the heavy stuff). Over the course of time, it has grown on me and now I actually like it.

It's absolutely an acquired taste though, for sure.
