Also the indoor practice facility has very little sideline in areas. This is what led to Nazee Johnson's injury last year, and IIRC someone smashed into a door and cut themselves on the glass a year or two earlier.

They get off the plane and visit the homes of the dudes they are about to play against.

Your buddy system is antiquated.

We need more suffering in the NFL, not less.

The NFL was better when the players suffered more.

I think theres a perception problem.

If you work your hands to the bone for me.
Destroy every ligament, tendon, muscle.

And when you get home, I only offer you a peanut butter sandwich? When I'm capable of so much more?

Doesn't feel very teamy.

Would love to see pics from the Chiefs 70s-80s practice facility locker rooms. I bet they're hilarious. Man Redwood City was a joke.

I agree. Players are getting paid so much money they don't care about improving their craft and getting better at their job, it's happening in all the major sports.

The chiefs have won 3 Superbowls in 5 years. Somehow I don't think your post applies to them.

Maybe reward them a little bit. This is essentially the workplace pizza party meme except they just replaced stools with chairs.

The rookies do.

More and more players checking out once they get that fat payday.

Unless I was an elite NFL player, I'm not going to lie I would do that too. If I was a Mahomes or Kelce it would be a different story, you would have something to strive to. But if you are Ben ****ing Nieman...what is the point? Your only goal is to stay in the league as long as possible if you are him.

I am guessing they'll probably build a completely new practice facility in the next decade that's somewhere outside of the Truman Sports Complex.

Or just tell them to **** off instead of promising them something he isn't delivering on.

He should have kept his mouth shut because a complete renovation of the practice locker rooms and training facilities is going to require much more time than is available in one offseason. There is extensive planning that would go into this like where do you hold mini-camp practices during the offseason and what is your contingency plan if the renovations fall behind and aren't completed by the end of training camp. Completing a construction project of that size in 6 months is a big task.

The team would be much better off building a brand new state of the art practice facility away from the Truman Sports Complex. Make it a show piece to help attract free agents and a place the players want to spend more time in.

You think Jawaan Taylor or Sammy Watkins or Tyrann Matheiu made any fuss about the ****ing practice facility when they agreed to come here in FA?

I'd bet my mortgage that not a single thought from any of those guys was about concerns about the practice facility. Nothing has changed in this league. Players care about two things:

A. How much are you paying me?
B. Who is the coach

And most of the time players don't give a shit who the coach is if you pay them enough.

Money talks guys. Brandt Tillis just went to work for David ****ing Tepper. Why? Bc he's paying him a **** ton more money
