Had tons of chances in the 2nd half to come back as they had done all year, but didn't take one of them. So it goes in this tournament. I'm not sure they would have won it all with their defensive weaknesses (Gonzaga was better than them IMO and both UNC/UK were on par), but they certainly had a decent shot if they got through this game.

It's really too bad for Frank. He was one of the best four year players KU ever had and he deserved at least one FF run in his career. Hope he somehow makes it in the NBA even though it will be very difficult for someone of his size and athleticism.

Since Bill Self became head coach at Kansas, here are the number of Final Four appearances by each of the Power 5 Conferences:

ACC - 11
Big 10 - 10
SEC - 9
Big 12 - 4
PAC 10/12 - 3

The PAC 10/12 has been absolute garbage in the Tourney, outside of one 3 year stretch by UCLA. So, take heart Big 12 fans. Your conference hasn't been the worst of the Power 5.
