Computers Computer Pros: Please Help!

Alright. My computer is infested with a ****ed up virus that has bogged down my computer. It takes over my google searches and sends me to stupid advertisements that I can't back out of. It's just all around ****ed.

I'm basically trying to reset the computer to factory settings, and it's a Dell Inspiron. From what I've found online, it's incredibly non user friendly and I need to hit F8 from the start up menu when the Dell sign comes up. Problem is when I do that, my computer pretty much just starts beeping at me like defcon 4, and won't go into the advanced menu.

I'm stuck, and mostly computer reeruned. Please help. My computer hates me.
