But obviously they were more than good enough. I'd have to see the whole exchange.

Oh, and **** Shawn Merriman.
Pretty much how I took the sound bite, not knowing the rest of the conversation!

Merriman trying to be relevant.

Quote:
Merriman's critics and detractors will simply point to his steroid use and move on. Merriman's success was a result of his juicing, they will say. Once he got caught and stopped using his body broke down and his true talents as a player were revealed.

In fact, as recently as 2011 there was a report that Merriman was detained at the Canadian border for possession of a controlled substance.

Yeah, seems like it was conveniently cut off at a point where he may have explained himself better... I feel like what people really mean is they weren't sexy enough this season, which is strange coming from a defensive player who should be able to identify elite defense.

Their one big weakness from the regular season went away because guys were predictably benched and Rice added a 2nd major threat in the passing game... besides a true/reliable deep threat (more sexyness), not sure what else you'd demand of a SB caliber team.

I believe what that moron was trying to say is that KC wasn't the most talented team in the AFC and based on talent they should not have made it to the Super Bowl, but KC has just learned how to win games and Patrick Mahomes/Andy Reid both cover a lot of warts in the playoffs.

"You are what your record says you are." Bill Parcells.

Hhmmm.

Chargers 2023 record - steaming pile of shit

KC 2023 Record - AFC West Champion yet again; 3-0 in playoffs, including 2 road games; 2 SB win.
