The NFL can always stretch out the season if necessary. They could move the playoffs back a week if need be.

They certainly need to avoid replacing scheduled games with covid games. It will create a domino effect, and will end up being a shitshow disaster.

They need a general plan that covers everyone, not just the Titan's/Steelers.

They can insert a makeup week after week 13/14. That way all the teams that had covid can play their makeup games, and the teams that didn't can have a bye.

It will also allow the 1 seed to play several games going into the playoffs.

I imagine the NFL is also trying to send a message. Mlb was kind of a shit show but the marlins and Indians fiasco made this thing real. And after that all teams seemed to do an excellent job and mlb season went on without a hitch. The clevinger and plesac incident in particular should be a warning that consequences not only extend to teams, they extend to players too.

Would have been interesting if this had happened next week when Buffalo has to go to Tennessee. Does it mean Buffalo gets a 10 day break before hosting KC on TNF with a huge disadvantage to KC being both the road team and on a four day schedule?
