OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Its the asterisk thing. We beat a Jimmy G led 49ers, the Chiefs are a superteam, etc etc, so it doesn't count. We need to play a "real" team and no Hill/Kelce for it to "count"

They're just haters. Ignore and move on.

Oh. Yeah, whatever. That all-star, "generationally great" defense didn't count I guess.

Yeah, it makes zero sense. You can obviously tell from reading those kinds of replies that they come from a place of jealousy and hate rather than logic.

Same team blew out Rodgers & Adams. Even in a revenge game with Jimmy playing terrible, they still beat those superstars at Lambeau.

I was referring to people saying KC didn't have a 'real ring'.

Niners defense was legit in '19. Our team earned that shit. That's some weak sauce to say otherwise.

If there were any doubts Neo stopped the machines in real life last week.

That game and the 13 seconds were super human...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I know what you meant. I was adding context by saying that Niners team blew out a Packers squad with a legendary QB and receiver.

That legendary QB plays poorly in the post season...

Lately, yes. Strange thing is on a per snap basis, he is pretty similar to Tom Brady in terms of Playoff Win Probability Added to his team. One key difference between them is the defenses have always helped Brady in huge ways. He won two Super Bowls against high powered Rams offenses where the Patriots offense didn't have to do much. 3 points for McVay/Goff is just insane. They averaged about 35 points per game the rest of the season. Rodgers has lost 5 playoff games where his defense was an absolute dumpster fire.

Brady has also been extremely lucky that some of his chokejobs have been bailed out by the most unusual bullshit you've ever seen. The fumble in the snow against the Raiders. The Dee Ford interception play. We would view his career a lot differently if some of those things went the other direction. Heck, Brady choked at Lambeau Field in 2020 with 3 INT's and was bailed out by Rodgers not doing anything to take advantage of it.

Check out the Playoff Win Probability Stats below. When you normalize everyone with 1,000 snaps...Brady, Rodgers, Brees are all pretty similar to each other. Mahomes is about 2X higher than all of them.

I wouldn't.

To me he'd still be behind Montana as the 2nd greatest QB of all time...

Has to let the ball go as soon as his back foot hits the 19, right down the middle of the H to Kelce.

Mahomes has been figured out apparently. Drop 8, with a spy, and then watch as Reid refuses to run the ball.

OMG. That one is going to haunt me all offseason.

Who is this impostor? Mahomes makes that throw to Kelce 99 times out of 100 and doesn't blink an eye. He was ****ing shook for no reason.
