Old school, yes. I like all kinds of stuff. Classic country, classic rock, nearly anything that came out of the 80's (including hip-hop), soft rock, pop, etc. Nothing really heavy, though. What I listen to depends on what kind of mood I'm in.

It's funny because if you listen to Def Jam era Beastie Boys and old Run DMC they actually refer to themselves as new school, and L.O.N.S. obviously considered themselves new school. It's a blurred line, really.
I guess they considered BDP and Juice crew stuff old school. I generally consider old school like Midnight Marauders and earlier, because that was sort of the last of the cassette tape era, but to each his own. |
