The Group 'Chicago' otherwise known as "Chicago Transit Authority" in their early days headlined for Hendrix for awhile. Jimi said Terry was better than he was. Here is the Tanglewood concert from 1970 specifically the tune 25 or 6 to 4 where Kath absolutely is shredding it out of this world. I know many of you know this story already but to see what Hendrix was talking about and being able to catch this amazing solo on video at the time was very fortunate. Enjoy !!

I was fortunate that my friend growing up Dad was high up the ladder at TWA and ran the food service department in KC. Twa was a major sponser of concert series the likes of Chris Fritz and others. His Dad got all kinds of concert tickets to shows in KC and really anywhere we could reach. I got to see so many shows that I never would have got to see if it wasn't free other the transportation and concession.

With ensembles like this you just sit back and soak it in. No time to think about who is "better" because your mind is too blown.

Look guys, each generation had it's fair share of great guitar players, you had rock, blues, etc.

One can argue in the days of Kath & Hendrix was Carlos Santana. That cat could play either a hard rock, a blues or any of the Spanish styles of Salsa,Merengue.Bachata.Reggaeton.Reggae,Cumbia, or Vallenato over the years.

That cat could / still can play.
