He's cheap the next 2 years and then can be franchised if need be after that.

If Dorsey can extend him for a bargain this offseason, he might be smart to do so

Doubt it. As soon as he gets 7 or 8 sacks next season the Chiefs will offer him big money.

Our cap is going to be tight going forward.

Drafting young players worthy of nice contracts to fill your cap up is a great thing.
