I love how we’ve played 4 teams without a loss, and the Pats played one. Yet they’re number 1. I guess if you wanna be the man, you gotta beatvthe man.

Pats get the easiest 1 quarter schedule in the history of the NFL, then pretty much get to coast to the playoffs with a Bye week and a home game.

Frauds.

The week 4 power ranking trophy would have looked awesome in the Hall of Honor, too!!

I'd put the Pats at 1 as well.

Look - they beat us twice last season. The entire damn season is nothing but the Chiefs trying to prove to themselves and the league that they can slay the BB/Brady dragon.

And right now Mahomes/Reid are 0-2 against Brady/BB. I have no problem at all with the Patriots 'winning ties' right now.

Beat 'em...

So, the Lions got more out of losing to the Chiefs at home, than the Chiefs did outta beating the Lions on the road. Makes sense to me....

Can't wait to beat the Pats twice this year and end their dynasty.

Just looked. Holy **** you're right. Not a tough game until November (except for the bills). Starting with Baltimore, we will see who they are.

Last year has nothing to do with This year. But they started the season the Champs and have not lost yet to powder puff teams- so good for them sitting on their number #1 spot. I hope they stay there until we play them- I want them to stay overconfident, resting on the past laurels.

Probably.

Fortunately the Chiefs get a chance to prove it. Twice.

I wouldn't trade the Chiefs roster/staff for the Patriots roster/staff, not even for this season. But at some point you have to acknowledge that the best way to predict the future is by looking at the past.

And this Patriots defense, easy schedule or no (and yes, it's laughably easy), looks damn good. That's a quality team who's head coach is a goddamn master of the dark arts. I don't know how he does what he does every single year but by God he does it.

They held the Rams to 3 points in the Super Bowl, fellas. Belichick is a master and that matters. Should the Chiefs still beat them? Yup, absolutely.

Will they? Well dammit, until we do, it's hard to say we're being slighted.

Absolutely.

They get to start the season at 1 by virtue of being the defending champs. And when you win every game as the defending champ, even if you're playing creampuffs, you don't get displaced by the team you beat (twice) last season to get there.

No reason to get too wound up about it - it'll be settled on the field.

We have beat them. People forget their Home Opener and Superbowl party was ruined by us with Alex. We have hung some of the worst losses on Brady in his career. But I guess since they squeaked by us with a Lot of help from the refs both games last year- the narrative is Mahomes can't beat Brady.

Pats are Paper Tigers this year.

Let the media keep making them number 1 and acting like they are invincible. I am sure the Chiefs are tired of hearing about them and will be ready.

Had this conversation with my BIL the other day, but can the Chiefs really add any player via trade that would make you say "yeah, they're gonna beat NE now"?

I want them to make some moves for sure, but **** it's just in my head that NE is gonna be a bitch to beat.
