For sure very entertaining but it's been playground basketball for large portions. Refs letting them play, bodies on the floor on every possession and they are running themselves ragged.

I’ll take this over the alternative. It isn’t pretty basketball, but it’s better than seeing the refs take over the game and turn it into a slog. As tight as it is though, I expect the latter to take over in a few minutes…

I spent many a Saturday night watching my favorite players in Whiting Fieldhouse. Harold Brown, Allan Joy, Joe Luebke. Got to play with them and against them at summer camps. They made it to the quarters a few times but would get knocked out on like a Wednesday afternoon game. I'd have a transistor radio with an earpiece to listen at recess. |
