If I were his piano teacher, I'd tell him to quit playing flat-wristed. He's got a ton of shoulder tension, too. The dude probably is terrible at his scales outside of the ones that fit the hand well like B and E major. He's really got to get more of an elastic elbow. He has absolutely no power to his sound. He's playing from the base instead of allowing his weight to distribute sound into the right hand and the melody. I could also dig at his improvisational choices, but that would take too much time. |

If I had to guess and kinda just simplify that critique... I would say that his flaws are a mix of being too strong and knowing it - therefore artificially altering his stroke, trying to be delicate/fancy and coming off stiff - and he probably hasn't regularly practiced in a looong time.
Anyway... GET OFF THE KIDS BACK CURMUDGEON HE'S A MUSICAL PRODIGY/QB SOUL CRUSHING DEMON. |

I would read an entire blog of SNR breaking down athletes' musical capabilities like draft scouting reports.

I just watched his presser and the video of playing piano and I gotta say, I love this guy!!! I'm excited to watch him play and grow into the football player he tells us he can be.

I have to admit, I have concerns about the Dee Ford pick.
He is a 1 trick pony (speed rusher) with short arms. The Waldo rushing formula shows he is a high risk of failure, and I would agree. I hope he succeeds nonetheless. |
