The fact that Perna is such a hardcore Broncos homer is part of what makes him so funny. It's fun to beat the Broncos time after time into eternity, but it's also fun to see them have a glimmer of hope, only to be dashed on the rocks of Mahomes. I lived through a lot of pain watching the Chiefs play the Broncos and part of my therapy is watching Perna agonize over the Chiefs dynasty.

I can't imagine trying to talk shit on a rival's board when said rival is on a historic run and owns his team the way KC owns Denver. When the gap between the two's accomplishments is very likely to grow. And when said rival has surpassed his team in everything that matters, including the ONLY thing that he had to hold on to, before last season. Special kind of idiocy.

At least he has a good sense of humor, makes fun of himself in the process and jokingly admits to using biases or stats when it fits his narrative. He has some interesting takes and yes, he is a homer, but he’s no worse than most everyone here when projecting players and things of that nature. And he fully acknowledges the weaknesses of Denver while giving props to other teams, even KC.

I think he’s pretty funny and is probably an overall good dude.
