Heroes by David Bowie is my all time favorite and I like this Live Aid version because of the energy. I had 4 VCR tapes and recorded and watched Live Aid all day on MTV July 13, 1985 and it was one of the best performances of the day.
The first song I really got into was You Keep Me Hanging On by Vanilla Fudge and this live performance from the Ed Sullivan Show in '68 speaks for itself. I was in the 12th grade and I couldn't start my morning without playing this song. Fortunately the week after the TV show I saw them live for my first concert. That's the great Carmen Appice on drums. |

I have a lot, my requirements are great song writing and capable vocals. Robbie Robertson and Rick Danko of The Band fit all my need in a song I can listen to anytime any day and set it on repeat.
It Makes No Differance

That's pretty deep. So the day the music died was really a net gain. You may be onto something.

Another favorite songwriter singer who went under appreciated. This song is a masterpiece IMO.

Man, that's a big ask. I LOVE a lot of music.
I'm a pretty big fan of this one. Even though I think I'm the only guy that has ever liked Taking Back Sunday. I'm also a big Turnpike Troubadours guy. So pick a song, there isn't a bad one. But these ones I've probably listened to more than others. George Strait isn't really talked about much anymore, but he's the ****ing king man, and I gotta pay homage. I mean there is a million different rabbit holes I can go down. I'll pretty much always stop and listen if this song comes on. And hell throw on about any 80s metal, there is a ton of good rock out there, you have to go indy to find any respectable country, some good rap out there - not typically my thing, but I can go down some rabbit holes and spend a week listening to rap or soemthing. Pretty much what I need is some sort of technical correctness and intensity in the performance. Best lyrics or band performance in the world is just killed by some **** mailing it in for a paycheck. |

In my Mind - Axwell. Tomorrowland 2013.
Also the song in the car commercial with the gerbils driving a scion or some vehicle like that.
