At least it wasnt' a ****ing guard.
That's basically my reaction. I would have preferred (in this order) Dennard, Ward, Lee, Ealy instead, but Ford will be good. I just think Ealy has more upside and we need DB & WR more.

The Saints drafted will Smith when they had two terrific des in Charles grant and Darren Howard.

The Giants drafted matthias kiwanuka when they already had Strahan and osi. Even with all those guys they drafted Justin tuck. Two first rounders for a team that decided to bpa instead of meeting an immediate need. What they did doesn't feel much different for what the Chiefs did. Let's just hope Ford is the right guy. At least we are gunning after impact players

Great now we got another guy to complain that get held all the time rushing the passer.

Over/under on how many times he gets held in games compared to Tamba Hali?

not what i expected, but i'm ok with it...such a weird feeling on draft day

first, obviously, we didn't draft a ****ing OL...huge win...HUGE WIN

we drafted a pass rusher...win

I'm sure they wanted to trade down and take him later, and I'm sure our lack of a 2nd round pick influenced our decision to pull the trigger

if we have a second, maybe we go a different direction

there's risk with his injuries, but he's described as a vocal leader which we actually need, imo

i hope can get a WR in the 3rd

the eagles took Marcus Smith in the 1st

that is a reach and makes our pick look genious by comparison

We couldn't get to Peyton or Rivers. Dee Ford isn't ****ing helping that. Doesn't matter he'll be hurt by week 6.

That's my only concern with Ford. It would have been enough to keep me from drafting him.

And who else should we have picked to accomplish that? Do you remember what happened when Tamba and Houston went down last year? Marinate on that. Tamba had 2 sacks the last 10 games last year, all in one game against Washington......

I really wanted Manziel. Why? Not that I think he is a great QB (I DON'T). But because it would have SHUT everybody up about how The Chiefs Never Draft a QB In The First Round.

I honestly wanted DIX, DENARD OR COOK.
The Ford pick suprised me.

Being a MIZZOU fan (I KNOW, I'LL GET A LOT OF CRAP FOR THAT), I've got to see a lot of him. He's a great pass rusher, with long arms and raw skill. He's not so good at stopping the run, but that can be taught. His stats for the Combined, were just as good as Clowney.

This wasn't a Great Pick, but it wasn't a Bad Pick either. It was to me, a Good Solid Pick...I would give it grade of a "B".

Remember, Offense gets you to the Playoffs..But DEFENSE wins Championships.

Dee ford was a holy terror vs Mizzou... He was great against FLAST and in the senior bowl... The consternation over adding a pass rusher is stupid.

The injuries are a concern. However, the upside is really potentially in the "special" category.

It's certainly a gamble. But so is every other player. Even guys with no college injury history sometimes spend their entire NFL career in the hot tub. It happens.
