*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

We have had other teams fans ask to come over and sit in our area to watch the game because we are having so much fun.

Members are reporting that when we wear our Chiefs stuff our in public they are getting approached to comment or talk about the team and Mahomes.

Dude is all that's wrong with sports talk.
I felt the same way for a long time, Mr. Buehler445. Then, one day, I was walking down the road (you know, analysing my innermost feelings as we white men are wont to do) and I suddenly realized he's funny as hell.

He's like the Sam Kinison of sports radio. I just imagine Sam as a middle-aged, black, sports reporter and it suddenly all maked perfect sense.

A word about Wally ...

Just watched his Monday presser. Now, I've watched almost every press conference Wally has ever done including all his Chiefs pressers and a ton of his Eagles stuff, and I've never seen him quite like this. Wally is a happy camper right now. He sees a bright future and you can tell from his attitude. This is a coach that smells a Super Bowl.

You go, Wally.

This is SO true for myself as well.
I live in central N.Y so the next question I usually get is why not the JETs/Bills/Giants?!
When I wear any gear I always get eye rolls randomly.
As I have any of our 13-3 seasons and so on.

I'm 51 and I must admit I was born a Giants fan.
Dad Uncles Neighbors etc.
The NY teams were doing well then too especially the Bills and Giants.
But somewhere around 13 The Chiefs caught my eye I never looked back to my families annoyance.
After yrs of my dad dogging me for being a Chiefs fan one Christmas morning(I was 19 then) I opened my Gift and it was a Chiefs starter jacket..my dad says..I give up Good Luck to your Chiefs.

Then came the Marty yrs and my love for the Chiefs became a passion.
Many good seasons and bad.
I mostly Lurk here but its to get the Chiefs family feeling I just cant get where I live.
Fast Chief news,Funny ass threads,Girls on Girls nuff said.

Sorry I know this is the PM thread but that's where I'll end this.

I've hung in there as all of you have getting to this point now.
I was still learning to pee in the potty when the Chiefs won the SB.

Hell if PM wasn't 23 I'm not sure I'd be all in that we could be seeing a SB in the near future.
But hes here and a young stud gun slinger with so many yrs to grow.
I waited to dive in to the hype even after my friends were all Holy crap PM is amazing!
But now were almost halfway thru the season This is Not a Fluke.
PM has IT that IT that you cant fully explain.
We have a Chiefs Team right now that Loves to play the game.
Alex was good but it felt sanitized..ho hum.
With PM its high octane its contagious its spreading.

Listen to him call/change plays on the line.
Point and direct the team they do not second guess him.
If a play goes astray he makes one up, you sense he will do anything to get that first down.
Hes already past the..will the teammates respect him trust him stage.
I'm not nervous his personality/Ego will change as we all know he grew up in this world.
Its not for the love of money.
He could've played any sport.
He Chose football and this is his team.
PM wants to win a SB because he wants to win a SB!!!
As does Reid,The matured Kelce,Hunt whos running like a freight train the list goes on.

I'm not betting my house it happens this yr but the Chiefs SB window is slighlty open.
Each season it will open a little bit more until PM finds away to push the team thru it!

I blame this post on too much coffee, its raining and I'm home alone.
