What did we learn? Week 2

Mahomes doesnt need to leave the pocket and can still throw for 400 yards

Brendan Daly was our biggest off season acquisition. Tanoh made a nice play on a run and had a sack. Emmanuel Ogbah through 2 games has quietly been our best defensive end.

Spags unlike Sutton can make adjustments

Breeland will get burnt like Nelson but unlike Nelson can make a play on the ball. That red zone pick was awesome.

DeMarcus Robsinon could be a #2 WR on some NFL teams

Blake Bells pass blocking help out Erving was underappreciated

This team can take a punch

Yep. We haven't really seen anything that unusual because we just plain haven't needed it. I'm excited to see what happens when we are under a lot of pressure to score.

This offense is unreal. I've never seen anything so prolific and we're without Hill. If Robinson and Hardman continue to play like they did today, holy shit...

Take away Hill, Watkins, Kelce, and Williams/Shady? Check this shit out...

Here is what we learned (or had reinforced)...

When Tyreek returns, the Chiefs can roll out a 4 WR/1 TE line-up that includes: Tyreek, Watkins, Mecole, DRob and Kelce.

Good luck, other 31 NFL teams.

Most important thing we learned today is that our 2nd rd draft picks are making very good impacts.

Kpassagnon, Hardman and Thornhill all had great days. That is what will seriously help this team out in the future.

You wanna see something ****ing disgusting?

Kelce was jogging on the 52-yard TD.

On a third and 20. CRITICAL play. Not a single **** given. Why?

The team knows what they can do and what Mahomes is going to do.

Kelce took one look at the coverage and thought - well, I'm taking this play off.

We are an insanely dialed in collection of talent right now.

Between kc and Philly I can't remember Andy going for the throat. Last week, he let mahomes stick it to Ramsey late. Today he was aggressive even with a big lead. Either he trusts mahomes more than ever. Or hes pissed off as hell about new England last year. Either way, I like it. A lot.

Not sure what to think about spags yet. Our pass rush seems to be the issue but we've been surprisingly vanilla with blitz packages. I wonder if he just doesn't trust our DB's.

Colquitt seemed really off early in the game. Good thing we didn't need him much later.

Mahomes not being 100% might be good development for him. Hes staying in the pocket and he's been even more spectacular. Hard to believe that's even possible.

Mahomes missed a lot of throws he usually makes. On a healthy ankle, he may have put up 500+. For those keeping count, mahomes is on pace to get 6500 yards.

Also, I'm a huge fan of Romo in the booth. Anyone else crack up thinking about how the man who called every patriots play in OT last year kept going mahomes wrong today? Speaks to how unusually aggressive mahomes is.

I learned it before, but it was reinforced this game that Patrick Mahomes is an alien.

Mahomes proved today that he, like Brady before him, can make be prolific with any receivers. Hill, last week Watkins, this week Robinson. Brady got a entirely new receiving corps every few years, still put up the numbers and the rings. Not to stroke Brady, I fogging hate the guy. But Mahomes is magic. This is so fun to watch. I was giggling today on those TD plays. KC was SAVAGE

Also, mahomes is capable of being better. That's what's crazy about this whole ride. Preseason and today, we saw mahomes miss a decent amount of spots he always hits. His footwork has improved a ton but I wonder if he's still learning to throw off of his front foot. It's absurd to think hes going to keep getting better.

Baltimore & New England are going to be problems, unless we play our best.

This comment would be true every single year for every single title contender. You can't show up at 50% in the playoffs and expect to win maybe more than one game vs a crappy wildcard team.

I'll put our best up against anyone. Because at our best, the offense literally won't put a single time.
