Breitbart: Walmart Outsources Almost 600 Accounting, Finance Jobs to Indian H-1Bs

Quote:
Walmart is outsourcing 569 finance and accounting jobs in North Carolina to Indian contract workers, spotlighting the expansion of the H-1B program from software jobs to accounting, healthcare, and design...
https://www.breitbart.com/economy/20...-indian-h-1bs/

Now, who here is going to pretend that Americans won't do accounting, and that this is necessary?

I'm pointing out a reality that makes this a more complicated issue than many of you give it credit for.
It's really not complicated. Just read those trade pacts, which are over 800 pages, full of regulations such as what parts of a vehicle have to be made where or here etc. etc. etc. Then new one that replaces NAFTA adds 200 pages of of the same complexity. There was even a study done on it in Canada, which concluded it's based on the TPP. ( going to go look for it again). Now, that's what complicated is. Thanks to government.

You want the kind of competitiveness globally (if that's what you really want) ? Then you just get rid of tariffs—and everyone else has to do it too. Of course, they won't, because they're not really trying to do that—they're building a new world infrastructure based on trade-pacts among other things.

Here it is, new USMCA is 57% of TPP. It's an OttawaU Study but was buried on an American Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (AmCham) website.

I don't see how it's even remotely market behavior for a business to go to the govt to ask them to grant visas to foreigners when they have Americans already in those jobs. They're still making good profits.

I mean wtf is the problem?

Which is why your utopian idea of true free trade is a non-starter, not to mention that free trade in the labor markets would require open borders.

No it's not. I use because we're being fed propaganda about them. Just because I stated what it really entails, doesn't mean I think it exists. I admitted it doesn't.

Let's not forget, that we had tariffs for generations from our earliest days, and America became an economic juggernaut in record-breaking time compared to other countries. We passed Europe and led the world out of recessions first. So much for the phony competitiveness claims.

We're getting corporatism.

Did you read the report or just a summary? What 57% of TPP is involved? I haven't read the report and I don't really want to, but those agreements include a lot of boilerplate and other text that doesn't really define functionality. If that's all it is, it's kind of a snoozer.

It's in the report. You can read it. I read a lot of it but not all of it yet. Doing it it pieces. It's long. On the other hand, there's some quotes you can find in interviews by that phony American named Lightizer, a globalist, admitting some of this.

I figured as much. So keep talking outta' your ass about fake free-trade and phoney competitiveness then in order to live in your own utopia of state-managed trade.

We were farmers and there wasn't really much of a global market. We rose to economic juggernaut largely because the rest of the industrialized world was leveled. None of it is particularly relevant to our competitiveness challenges of today.
