Anyone have experience with CarShield?

I'm considering signing up with them to cover my "fun" car. Just curious if anyone here has dealt with them previously. Legitimate? Any BS filing claims? And so on.

Thanks, and of course. I'm only considering it because the car in question has been known to experience intermediate shaft bearing failures, which wrecks the motor. I drive it about 1,000 miles a year.

$59/month and a $100 deductible.

I'd avoid any kind of 3rd party warranty outfit like that. They're notoriously shady. As Sauto said, they make their money in denying claims that people thought would be covered.

Yeah, they called me yesterday after I pinged them. Wanted $129/month. called again today and offered $69/month. I said no, and he went to "employee discount" of $59/month.

My wife's aunt worked at one of these companies, after looking at where Carshield is located it may have actually been carshield. She told us to never buy one of those policies.

Take it for what it's worth.

You’re better off throwing 60 a month in a jar or sponsor some starving African kid, he’s more likely to fly over and fix it than this company.
