Then the Titans just decided to publicly emasculate the Chiefs box defenders. You don't see defenses get physically manhandled as badly as we did in that game very often.

To your point regarding culture - it's a fair one. The Chiefs were said to have been focused on adding toughness and aggression to the defense yet I still don't see any. And everyone who discusses Sutton's personality says he's 'cerebral' when they're being diplomatic and 'passive' if they aren't.

I won't dispute that a change might bring in a fresh attitude and in that respect it's worth exploring. I'm just can't get behind the idea that somebody's going to come in here, rip the scheme asunder and fix everything. Shit, the 'fire Sutton' threads can't even make up their minds what the problem is. Some say the scheme is too predictable and needs more 'creative blitzes' while others are saying it's too exotic and needs to be simplified.

I don't think scheme is the issue here. But man, attitude might be. I mean, be careful what we wish for because this is the same G-Rob vs. Gunther argument that we made 15 years or so ago, but maybe a little bit of crazy in the coaching box will help.
Gunther was worse, and it wasn't even close.

That's kinda my point.

Just bringing some fire-breathing asshole in here isn't necessarily going to be a cure-all. We kinda thought Gunther would bring that and all he did was show up in reerun glasses, scowl a lot and then get weirdly mopey. Man he sucked.

I still wonder just exactly what the hell our position coaches are doing. Is all of it a function of having a pretty even keeled guy like Andy at the HC spot? I mean it seems that SOMEBODY out there could have these guys playing with passion but I sure don't seem to see it.

Cubans cigars are little more than wildly overpriced Dominicans. In fact, a good Dominican cigar is better than any Cuban I've ever had. I have a box of Don Lucas Family Reserves that I keep at the bottom of the humidor so I don't have to share them with anyone but my father in law and they're spectacular.

Get yourself some quality cigars from the DR; maybe $20/shot on the high end and you can get some damn good ones for $12-14. They're a hell of a lot better than some ****ing rip off $70 Cohiba.

Last summer people ripped Hali for making a tweet about the D not having any real leadership. He was right.

KC's only defensive leader appears to be Berry, a player that his missed 2 of the last 4 seasons. There are no emotional leaders on the team. No identity. Peters for all his warts seemed to be the only guy who gave a damn at times.

Peters was screaming at Sutton because of Peters - that's it.

Peters' teammates could've gotten barbecued all day 'because of garbage schemes' and Peters wouldn't say shit about it. But the moment Peters looked bad, he'd lose his mind. He was always that way.

Peters was a damn good corner and I still say we'd have been better served figuring out how to deal with his attitude. But to try to say he was some sort of leader that would've held Sutton accountable - pft. He's an immature diva who only cared about things that made him look bad.

At this point I wouldn't care anymore. Give me the selfish asshole who only cares about himself but is still extremely passionate over this group of complacent douchebags we trot out on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays.
