Oh also Steven Nelson is the biggest “meh” player in Chiefs history.

Thanks Dorsey
I saw some stupid article today about how the Chiefs were missing the depth on the roster that they had when Dorsey was here.

Like this isn’t currently primarily Dorsey’s roster. Last year especially.

Here we ago again. I can't believe how some of you can't see that Dorsey was outstanding at drafting. Just clueless really.

And?

Choir boys don't win games. We went down that route. A GM that was willing to take a gamble on talent was refreshing. He only managed to get a multiple all pro and one of the leagues most explosive players.

That's a pretty silly argument.

Unless you needed a corner or linebacker.

Marcus Peters is a quality corner.

Talk to Andy Reid and Clark Hunt about why he not still here.

In 5 seasons, Dorsey drafted 38 players.. Only 4 went to the Pro-Bowl (Kelce, Peters, T. Hill and K. Hunt)

In his first 4 drafts, he drafted 32 players.. only 13 are still on the team..

People blamming Veach for the secondary issues.. Look farther.. In Dorsey's 5 drafts, he only drafted "one" safety..Leon McQuay in the 6th RD.. he did draft CB's Sanders Commings in the 6th RD and Eric Murray in the 4th Rd trying to changing them in safetys..

Marcus Peters is the only CB taken above the 3rd Rd.. He did pick 3 CB's with a 3rd rd picks..1) Gaines..that didn't work out 2) S. Nelson.. Dorsey drafted him to play slot CB (which he had never played) 3) K. Russell.. this guy wasn't worth the time it took to call his name draft day..

So basically in Dorsey's 5 drafts.. He picked one DB above the 3rd RD.. there others (except Nelson) big Red Flags. For a team that usually keeps 10 DB's on the roster and uses 3 safety's often..

Was that your opinion of Peters when we drafted him? Tyreek Hill?

I'll roll the dice on guys like Peters all day. He was an elite talent that gave us elite play. His attitude didn't work out but it's worth the risk. For those that hated it from day 1(and I'm assuming feel the same about Hill, fine) go ahead and call Dorsey out. For the rest that were more than happy to have Peters while he was here, you need to stop.

He wouldn't tackle. He would actively avoid the tackle. **** him.

That's fine if you always felt that way. My point was more about that most people here were not calling Peters a bad pick until after Dorsey was fired and Peters moved. Just comes off as a way to throw everything on Dorsey and prop up Veach to make us feel good.

This Chiefs team not too long ago was talked by some/many analysts as arguably the best top to bottom roster in the league. But I guess any occasion is a good one to pick on Dorsey.

For all of his good picks, he’s also got a negative to go with those moves.

His cap mismanagement and poor drafting of depth players has left this roster rather thin. Veach has helped in some areas with it, but we’re still trying to recover the depth while fixing the shithole cap situation.
