Generally speaking, post Allard Baird, Glass has not been a problem, rather bad drafting and bad free agent signings.

Almost seems like this a done deal.

I agree for the most part, minus the refusal to eat money on contracts in potential trades.

Yep. That's the normal process - start with being a minority owner in a franchise and get vetted in the club.

Speaking of that you should read up on the 1993 NFL expansion. That's one hell of an interesting story. Basically shaped modern NFL IMO.

That’s the biggest complain on Glass for me. He doesn’t bend much on budget for the year, in-season, and isn’t willing to accept the idea of a sunk cost.

They could have gotten out from under Kennedy and brought back a fringe top 100, local prospect in Joey Wentz, but it wasn’t approved to send cash to Atlanta in the deal.

And in free agency, Moore has had to shop in the mid-tier and lower of free agents, which gives a much higher bust factor for those.

He did remarkably well finishing out the roster in 15 with Morales and Volquez and Young and Madison. But attempts to fill for the next two seasons and maximize the window WERE restricted by a limit for budget on those years.

I have a friend who is a big Indians fan. He’s freaking out about this because they generally credit Sherman with convincing Dolan to spend above normal thresholds after 15 to try to make things work and maximize their window.

Hopefully Sherman would be ready willing and able to carry that to full ownership

What the deal with a downtown stadium Kauffman stadium is amazing. That said if they built a downtown stadium it must look like Kauffman stadium but dome form.
