It's still a long season but the Cards were pretty much due for a down year. Do we really not trust this franchise to make a few tweaks and retool and be right back back in contention? Ya I am frustrated but out of all my teams I know this franchise will right itself again.

Statistically you can expect a down year. But, I don't think Mo will stand pat either.

I don't know if it's his velocity but he seems to tire out quickly and he starts to leave pitches in the middle of the zone. But he is only 22 years old so I give him a pass.

This is easily the worst Cardinal offense of my life. Holding the Blue Jays to three runs should be enough to win against a scrub spot starter.

It's surprising that it took this long for the book to get out on the Cardinals. Vogeldong showed what to do in 2012: pitch these guys inside and you've got them. No one wants to turn on a pitch, nor does anyone appear able to.

I imagine that this also might be the reason why lefties dominate us, as their four seamers would naturally move to the inside of the plate for a righty.

I know everyone loves Carp's OBP% and for good reason but he is a great #2 hitter. You could hit and run. He would take pitches to allow a base stealer a chance. Hits doubles, gives the guy on first base a chance to score. I wish Bourjas could hit .275 but thats just not going to happen. So it has to be Wong.

I think Mo should trade Lynn at the trade deadline. His value is as high as its going to get. He has 3 years of control left. That has value.

You know Mo is just not going to stand pat. He will trade someone.
