We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

Because at that price, there's no injury discount and I'd probably rather have the C+ player who's healthy. I'm assuming that Darby isn't insisting on a CB1 contract.

But the CB market has been softer than expected. And I don't believe we're Darby's first suitor so he's not having his door kicked down by any means.

Just found what you're talking about. Spotrac was WAAAAAY off on Nelson. Shot way high and had him within sniffing distance of Darby's estimate. Missed badly on Roby's deal as well. Spotrac is estimating damn high on CBs thus far.

You think Bashaud Breeland's getting $35 million? Spotrac does.

The nearest comp for Darby according to Spotrac is Nelson. If you can get him for what Nelson signed for, of course you do that.

We’re talking about basically replacing Steven Nelson with Ronald Darby, a #1 corner at his best. I can’t complain at all.
