RAPOPORT: Steve Spagnuolo, Dennis Allen, John Pagano names to watch at DC
Just heard on NFL Total Access.... FWIW. https://twitter.com/rapsheet/status/...864004097?s=21
Allen, the Saints DC, is a free agent for those who may read that and wonder. Last edited by pugsnotdrugs19; 01-22-2019 at 05:45 PM.. |

Chiefs fan wisdom: Hire Rex Ryan! Hire Tony Romo for DC! Sign Laveon Bell now! Marcus Peters is awesome and Clark Hunt doesn't care if we win!
come on, man. |

guys, it's a solid move.
It's not a big splash, but a big splash could easily be a huge mistake and you don't want to **** up Mahomes' rookie contract years. This is a good fit. Now let's go grocery shopping and put some shit on ebay. |

How is it a solid move? Spags hasn’t been DC for a “solid” defense in 10+ years.
When he was the Saints DC in 2012, he failed. His return to the Giants as DC failed as well. What has Spags done during the past 10 years as a DC that has been “solid”? Explain. |

2017, key injuries and the offense imploded, head coach got fired, and he was interim coach. 2012 Saints had a shit Gregg Williams defense and a head coach/defensive coordinator that were suspended for bountygate. Pretty ****ed situation to deal with. But go ahead and wish for a bunch of assistant coaches that we were never going to be able to interview anyway. |

Don't you dare drag Tony Romo's beautiful name and face down there with the likes of that shit heathen Rex Ryan.

If you're not into taking situations into account, then that's your prerogative. I think it's pretty clear there were some bad ones there. but you go ahead with your insightful, thoughtful posts and consideration. |

You mean like your post dismissing the possibility of hiring a guy like Kris Richard because he isn't a "safe" hire, which you apparently define as having 50 years of previous experience?

In 2016, his defense was #1 in TD's allowed, #2 in scoring, #1 in red zone defense, #2 in 3rd down percentage, #3 in completion percentage allowed, #2 in passing TD's allowed, #2 in INT's, #3 in rushing yards allowed. #2 in rushing YPC. #5 in Rushing TD's allowed.
I'd say that's pretty solid. Go **** yourself, Eeyore. |

You really think Richard was a ****ing option? No ****ing way. No way the 'Boys were going to let that happen. I wanted Richard, or his staffmate Bloom, or Hewitt. None of those teams would've let that happen. Those guys will all go straight to HC opportunities in the next few years. All I'm saying is, with what is available, this is a pretty good hire with a good shot at getting us where we need to be. But go ahead and cry over shit that wasn't ever a reasonable possibility. |
