What do you think of Carl's Jr. or Hardees? vs. other fast food places?

CJ and Hardees are basically the same place. You ever go there?
why/why not?

What do you get there?

What do you think of their food vs other options.

Do you have any opinion of their brand? Like ads or just the place/idea of CJ/Hardees in general vs. other places? Like, who would you compare them to or rank them above/below on the fast food food chain.

A burger pioneer makes hamburgers that contain mustard, ketchup, two pickles, and three rings of onions. These places shouldn't be calling themselves burger pioneers. That's not who they are at all.

They're burger innovators. Their burgers should be wearing white lab coats with those metal antennae sticking up out of them shooting lightning sparks across to each other. When I think about Carl's Jr, I do think about burger innovation. Hardee's less so, but Hardee's does have menu innovation. They'd have a fast food cook in a white lab coat shooting lasers at chicken sandwiches.

I know a guy who does market research if you need this concept to be explored.

And while their hot chick commercials made me look, they didn't make me want their food. Perhaps they increased my name recognition, but it never made sense to me that attractive women were eating 3,000 calorie burgers. I think those women weren't real customers, and were instead actresses portraying customers.

The frisco sourdough bacon burger is good and I liked the hot ham n cheese as a kid. Curly fries are good. That said, I don't really ever go for lunch

The breakfast biscuits as others have noted are flipping unreal. I'm sure they have to be comprised of some combination of 90% butter and salt. They're just too good. I go some for breakfast due to this even though I'm 100% certain that each biscuit has to take off 2 months of your life at least.

I suppose I read that as them saying they are OG's in the burger biz. Hardee's has been around a long time so I guess I'll allow it to pass.

Those commercials stunk and so was that phase of bizarre let me put a bunch of shit on top of a burger. Maybe this resonated with really hungry construction workers or something but meh

Honestly I never think of those places as an option and there are a couple of Hardee's near work. I prefer 5 Guys, but the DQ $5 burger lunch can't be beat on price and it's pretty tasty.

I like Hardee's breakfast but the closest one is like 7 miles away and I've got a Wendy's, BK and McDonalds a couple of blocks away. Their burgers are good, so are the old staples on the menu. If I had one closer I'd go there way more than the other couple of places.

Agreed. I don't give a damn about In N Out - had it, wasn't impressed - but I do miss the Porcelain Palace. Used to stop in at the one on 95th Street every now and again and I was raised on those little greasy bastards - so I have a cast iron stomach.

I love Hardees - the mushroom and swiss burger and the big ham and cheese are two of my absolute favorites.

The only place I like better than Hardees is Popeyes.

It's a Carl's Jr. in San Diego county.

When it comes to burgers, i rank them #1 of the major westcoast fastfood joints.

1. Carl's
2. JBox
3. In-N-Out
4. Mc'D's
5. Burger King

But they're also the priciest so i don't go there often.

But when i do my go to is the Guac-Bacon burger or the Jalepeno Bacon burger.

Pretty much the only fast food burger joint I'll do anymore is In-N-Out. Occasionally I will hit up Fatburger.

The food looks glorious in their commercials, but falls flat every time I eat it. My town doesn't have one though, so maybe it's just that the KTA locations suck?

I like taco bell if I'm getting fast food though.
