The last one to do it was Kurt Warner in 1999. In 2003 there were co-mvp’s and they both lost in the playoffs.

SEA DEF has given up 247 passing yards per game, ranks 20th.
OAK DEF actually ranks slightly better than SEA in passing yards given up per game, but they are dead last with passing TDs.

Mahomes is a lock for 5k yards and 50 TDs...
Oh, I agree completely, I was just being cautious. People on here are building up the Seahags like they are the 85 Bears and it is a foregone conclusion we will lose.

50 TD's is rare company- only 2 QB's have done it in the history of the NFL. Pretty impressive.

I think SEA is going to give KC a hard time, but that just means Mahomes will have a big day. I think the teams will each put up 30+ points, quite honestly.

Mahomes is having a significantly better season than Brees in virtually every statistical category and his team is currently the #1 seed in the AFC, just like Brees' team is the #1 seed in the NFC.

If the only justification for giving the MVP to Brees over Mahomes is that he's been in the league longer, then change it to a lifetime achievement award.

We are 2-2 in the last 4 games. We lost to the Rams and the Chargers. The Ravens gave us all we could handle and we only beat the Raiders by 7 points. That's right, we only beat the beat the armpit of the NFL by 7 points. We only beat the other armpit(Arizona) of the NFL by 12 points.

If we go 1 and out again, Rivers or Brees probably beats Mahomes out.
