Official 2017-2018 NBA Playoffs thread!

We'll see if the Warriors recover from the end of the season stretch of stinkers.

Bullshit. Records will always be broken, and the only thing that may change is that the talent pool becomes more saturated with incredible players and innovative coaches.

Jordan might not have ANY Finals wins if he consistently had to play a team like the Warriors.
Lebron might not have ANY Finals wins if he didn’t ring chase early in his career and also get to play in an absolutely awful Eastern conference for a decade.

Lebron made ring chasing in your prime and teaming up with other stars in your conference ok. Why the **** does he get a pass because somebody else saw how it worked and chose to do the same? I said it back when it happened, him doing it and having success would open it up for everybody after to follow suit. He made his bed now he has to lie in it.

Why is ring chasing bad?

Everyone talks about it always being about championships yet when guys make moves for that, it’s bad?

I’m not necessarily saying it’s bad. I said he made it okay and it turned out to be a great move for his career.

My point he doesn’t get to use GS being in the way as an excuse because he started all of this.

Bullshit. Ring chasing and players demanding trades is old as the league itself. Lakers have done it for it years. Celtics did before the Heat. Multiple other cases throughout time as well.

Yep. LBJS ballwashers will try to rearrange the deck chairs to make is seem like what Durant did was WAY different but it is exactly the same thing. If him and his Lebronies would own it they may earn a bit more respect.

Those were trades and none of those guys were the best player in the world. They were also older. If you can’t see the differences with KD/Lebron compared to those guys, I don’t know what to tell you.

Of course KD did the same thing. Why would it be any different?

Man, you clearly haven’t argued with many Lebron stans.

We'll probably never see anything like that again.

KCC,Maybe Lebron will be the GOAT; I don't know how the rest of his career will play out. But, if Lebron loses in the Finals he will have the same number of Finals losses than Jordan had wins.

Wrap your head around that one.
I am so tired of this debate because it really shouldn't be one. There is no denying Lebron is a great ****ing player and I have much respect for him as a player, a man, a father and he is an awesome role model. What he will never be is the GOAT but he will end up when all is said and done #2 which is pretty darn good. But this whole Lebron GOAT discussion was over when he lost his 4 and 5th championships.

So would it have been better had he lost before the finals?
