Time to face reality
Anything can happen once you get to the playoffs, especially if you have a great defense. But yeah, a lot of things will have to turn around for Denver to get to the Super Bowl.

Keenum has shown he can play consistently enough to lead a good team to a first round bye and a Championship Game, so if the rest of the team steps up, Keenum can hold his own.

Can you name a position on defense where we are worse than last year? Peters might be the only answer, but our new corner could be just as good. He was last year.

And KC is obviously better offensively.

He recognized reality this spring, staying quiet in free agency while passing on quarterbacks he did not deem worthy of a top-five pick. Elway took pass rusher Bradley Chubb at No. 5 before using his Day 2 selections on a runner, receiver and corner. Maybe it’s not a full-on rebuild, but the revamp has begun in earnest on both sides of the ball. It could be a lengthy process but it’s what Elway needed to do.

The Broncos defense is still a top 10 defense, easy, with the addition of Chubb. There's 30 other teams in the NFL that would take one of our back up pass rushers like Barrett or Ray.

You know what JFE does have the midas touch on? CBs and pass rushers. He's drafted great CBs and he's drafted great pass rushers and LBs. JFE has the midas touch on the Broncos defense, especially where it counts the most, the secondary and putting pressure on opposing QBs.

I just don't see a lot of improvement anywhere. Hitchens should be an upgrade over the ghost of Derrick Johnson and you're getting Berry back... but other than that, I don't think you've really gotten any better.

We'll see how Fuller turns out. Is he anything other than a slot corner? He had a PFF grade of 45.5 in 2016, was his 2017 season a fluke?

Pat Mahomes will not be an upgrade over the highest rated passer in the NFL.

WITH Harris declining, KC has the best CB between the teams with Fuller. Throw in an aging Von as the roids take their toll...uh oh

We're a lot closer to being a good defense than you care to admit. We got rid of all the old, slow, farts. We've already started the infusion of young talent.

Meanwhile, we've got a franchise QB poised to set the division on fire for years to come.

And you have Case Keenum.

Midas touch...Miller was the #2 overall pick. That's like saying the Colts have the Midas touch for drafting Luck. Chubb fell in his lap...which the Donks had to suck ass and finish in last place to even be picking at #5. Ray is average and could be considered a bust considering Horseface moved up to pick him.

Harris was a great UDFA score....but Talib was a proven FA and Roby is average.

LBs?...yeah, no.

So as long as ElFraud has a top 5 pick...he's ****ing Midas.

That's what I pointed out...Semian had similar stats in 2016 to Keesum.

I love that the Vikings signed Trevor then unloaded almost the same quality QB...for $18 million to the Drunk.

I'm on a wait-and-see basis for your defense. Some new pieces brought in, some pieces gone...

Nonesense. The Broncos are beyond elite with Keemun. Elway's decision making is beyond reproach. The elite Bronco secondary is improved now that Talib is gone. The Broncos will rank higher than the Chiefs in both scoring offense and defense, just like last year...

But, but, but, the Broncos didn't have to draft Chubb, remember? Remember how errrbody thought the Broncos needed a QB? As for Miller, the Broncos didn't have to draft him either, but Elway did.

Broncos have absolutely drafted some good LBers like Woodyard and Travathan, but they left for big money with other teams...

Before the Broncos brought in Talib, they let DRC go, so Elway did some fantastic work there and it's not like DRC was a slouch at CB. Roby is a starting CB on your team's defense day one. Roby is a starting CB on the majority of team's defenses day one.
