Take care of yourself guys
In the last year I have had 6 friends die. 4 in their 50s, one in his late 40s and one in his early 60s. All appeared to be in great shape. Makes you think a little about your own mortality. Wish I had retired a couple years back when I had the chance. Seems so young to be kicking it. Still others have had major health issues and cannot enjoy any quality of life. What ever happened to the new 50 is the old 40?

You're correct. Never forget how vulnerable we are as humans. This is largely why I'm working on getting more healthy.

No, the one this weekend wasn't even married and was running his dog when he dropped.

The worst one had a 9 ear old and 12 year old girls. Fortunately for everyone of the people I am talking about they all had money so the families will be OK financially but I just can't imagine leaving your child at such a young age.

Sorry for your losses. I kinda go both ways on this one. Obviously I don’t want to increase the odds of a so called “early” death by doing stupid shit like eating pizza everyday or never exercising, but on the other hand, you yourself pointed out that most if not all of your friends seemed to be in good shape. Ultimately, I land on trying to do what I enjoy and what makes me happy while trying to be an overall good dude. Doesn’t garuntee I’ll live another minute past this one but at least I’ll enjoy all I have.

I am not going to stop living. Been riding motorcycles my whole life for example. Got 30k miles on my zx14. I do work out consistently and my diet is tight. I could quit drinking permanently but I don't think that will happen. I am drinking less every year.

I’ve been recently hooked on phentermine pills. My heart was hurting like crazy, it felt like it was going to literally explode. It’s been two weeks since my last pill. I can’t die at 31 years old. My son was my biggest motivation to quit, it scared the shit out of me.
