Just have him go be the scout team QB for a series and let them go live. Things will take care of themselves.

Can teams get in trouble if it gets found out they actually did have a player get "injured" in a scenario like you've described.

Nobody wants to be the team that opens that can of worms.

There have been some grumblings in the past, but I think the bottom line is that nobody wants to be the squad that lodges the complaint because in the end, they want to be able to have that option available to them at some point as well.

And over a punter? Well....I just don't see anyone kicking that hornets nest over a punter. Besides, how do you ever disprove it? Fox is getting paid - this worked out okay for him. He'll say "yeah, my leg hurts when I really get into a ball" every time he's asked. And a physician can't exactly 'prove' that there's not some soft tissue tightness there.

It's shifty and shady and I think teams will know what's going on there, but I also don't think there's a hell of a lot that can be done (nor would they want to go to war over it).

Or maybe Darron Lee really is ready for a career year. I mean, he looked pretty damn good on Saturday. He was flying. His mic'd up showed he has excellent energy, is vocal and a good communicator.
