Hot Tub Time Machine...HOLY $%#&!!!

It was ****ing hilarious!!! I'm talking Hangover hilarious! I cried from laughter multiple times. Rob Corddry (Kutcher's friend in What Happens In Vegas) and Craig Robinson (Darryl from the Office) are comic gold. There's one scene between the two of them that's easily one of the top 3 funniest scenes I've ever seen in a movie.

I don't know what exactly is going on with it, but it's the rare movie that gets funnier the more acquainted with it, as you anticipate what's coming next and it's delivered brilliantly each and every time.
I love "Lebowski". But I don't think it's that funny, in a cheap-laugh ha-ha way. But the film does have style, in spades. It's subdued and laid-back, like The Dude. The music is phenomenal, as is the cinematography. I mean, c'mon, a topless chick being thrown from a beach blanket in slow motion? Julianne Moore naked flying through the air flinging paint? John Turturro dressed in purple with a hairnet, licking a bowling ball? The quest for a pissed-on rug to be cleaned? Nihilists, fer crissake, the film has Nihilists! It even has a fantasy bowling scene! The movie rocks. It's like a complicated painting, and it's the type of movie that really can't be described.

It could be the only movie I can think of that gets funnier and funnier with each viewing, quite the opposite of most every other comedy, which depends on surprising you into laughter.
Mel Brooks holds up well. "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstein" are classics, and "The History Of The World Part 1" gets better with time.

Just saw this the other day. Quite enjoyed it. I like that it had the feel of an old 80's low budget teen flick.....

Pretty funny stuff.

Hot Tub was actually pretty good. Of course, I went in with low expectations so it had nowhere to go but up for me.

Hot tub time machine has given me the single greatest line that isn't even related to the movie. I have the movie on the zune I go up to a girl. Get into a conversation (when it's clear people kiss the girls ass" When she starts talking about something that is meh.. I pull out my zune and say "This conversation bores me, I'm going to watch hot tub time machine"

The biggest thing I like with the hangover, is that it works for Girls and Guys with straight sense of humor (oh man that guy got hit in the dick!) and the girls who just go Oooooo that guy is cute! You can watch it with those types and still be amused, of course you are going to be like Man I wish this was a cult classic with backstory humor, humor the normal people won't get, people like me who have to be in the "Know" get. Anyway you can watch the hangover with anyone and still have enough hipsterish moments where it isn't a groan fest for me.
