****Official 2019-2020 NHL Season Thread****

Season begins a week from tomorrow, and the defending champs just traded Joel Edmundson and a prospect for Justin Faulk.

Who's up for back-to-back Cups?

Nice to see them take over that period, despite the one particularly dumb penalty (don't mind laying out Corey Perry though).... they have to stop getting sucked into the vortex of dumb roughing penalties and that kind of bullshit though.

Welll...... they have some work to do. Losing Grubauer and Johnson has definitely been an issue, plus a lack of depth on offense and relying completely on the top line.

I swear I turned it off. Well, I turned the channel. But I wasn't watching. Okay I flipped over to it about 3 seconds before the Stars scored the fourth goal. But I closed my eyes when i did it.

lol.... they need a Barry Melrose cliche-filled speech about putting pucks on nets and "wanting it more" and staying out of the box.

It really is the simple things at this point when you're relying on one line to score and you're a bit lacking on the backend.

I have no idea how a team can go close to a whole period without one f&&^% shot on goal. I know Chieftain seems to hate on the avs but other than the KC scouts who became the Denver hockey rockies who are now "my nj devils" I tend to cheer for the avs and the st louis blues.

I jumped on their bandwagon long ago and despite the decade+ of suck, never really had a reason to find a new bandwagon.

IMO, despite any fandom, some players are just worth watching.... so, it's nice to have two of those in MacKinnon and Makar.

Of course, the two people you least expect to make a play scores a goal in the one game the Stars should win easily.... that's hockey for ya.
