Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.

Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:

If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point.

I'm a plain Greek yogurt guy myself, great substitute for sour cream and I enjoy it in my overnight oats I make for breakfast.

I used to use them on keto as a dessert. They're pretty good.

Back to running for the last 3 weeks. Has been too long. Let's see if I can make it through a Texas summer. Ran a 6:48 mile yesterday, which isn't very fast, but I'm pretty pleased given the layoff. Would like to bring it down by 90 seconds. I think I could do it if I lose 15 pounds and keep logging miles. Speed work is a fun challenge. Hills and a lot of 400/800m runs to get my lungs burning.

Hard to watch your sugar unless you eat nothing but low glycemic plants. Crazy how much sugar is in everything we buy.

I watch sugar because I keep my carbs pretty low. If it fits your macros though and you're losing weight, there is no issue. You can generally eat a bit more sugary type foods the leaner you are. Those of us looking to lose bodyfat can usually do a bit better by limiting sugar and eating more protein/fat to help with satiety and dieting.

That's why I eat whole foods when I'm cutting, aside from protein powder that doesn't have sugar in it.

Tomorrow I'm meeting my uncle for some beers. How many hours do you think I should wait to workout after drinking? I'll probably end up having 4-5 22oz beers.
