How do I stream games on Sony tv?

I’m about ready to cut the Directv cord. I’m going to try to stream the game today and if I can get it to work I’m finally going to tell Directv to piss off!

My question is, anyone have a newer Sony tv that they stream games on? I’ve used the reddit link before on my LG tv and if worked. But my big Sony TVs don’t have a web browser, at least I’ve not found one.

So if anyone has some insight with how to stream on a Sony, that would be awesome! Thanks!

Thanks for all the help guys, casting from computer once the games started took 2 sec. didn’t need to get out firestick. We’ll see how the stream goes for the chiefs game before I tell Directv to piss off. I also want to test out a free week of Hulu. I don’t even watch tv hardly anymore. But my wife watches all those Dr shows.

This, it'll work with a tablet or smartphone too. I use my phone

I don’t think this is true anymore. DVI is on its way out and I think a lot of newer TVs no longer have the input. Plus, it’s video only so it’s not the best way to do it. Any modern computer will have an HDMI port, which is the better option.

Not to mention that DVI doesn't carry audio, so you'd have to run that separately. HDMI is a far simpler (and much more common) way to go.

Yea my newest Sony Tvs have a different UI than the older one in living room. The older one had Hulu, but you couldn't get Hulu Live on it, and from what I read, you couldn't update it. So I ended up getting out the Firestick that hadn't been used in forever, and now we exclusively use it on that tv. We canceled Directv, and now have Netflix, Hulu Live, Prime, and Disney +. Disney + got free for a year from Verizon, then its only like $6 a month after and it goes on my cell phone bill, so I'll never notice it.

Thinking of canceling Hulu Live (Which just went up $10/month) after football season. I never have time to watch tv shows live, its always on the DVR. Its only like $5 a month for plain Hulu. I assume I can watch shows after a day or two from when they originally aired?

Hi-de-ho wheeler08. Trading Post Tom here. Have you considered a RCA? A modern family should accept no substitute. And if you are a single gent, the dames love them. Truly the cat's meow and worth the extra lettuce. See you in the funny papers.

If you have a FireTV stick, then you can use that to view almost every single game in one manner or another. Sideload the Yahoo Sports app, which will let you view all primetime games. Amazon Video offers Thursday night games. Use the Silk browser or install Firefox to view reddit streams. Sideload the Chiefs mobile app to stream every Chiefs game.

I keep hearing this, but I have Dish with a sports package for $80/month.

To get fast enough internet, it's about $80/month. Then you've gotta pay for programming, still.

I fail to see where anyone saves.
