Ragland with 2 really nice games. If he continues to play this well, it may reduce the urgent need at Mike ILB. Still need a replacement for DJ though.

Ragland has 18 tackles and 4 stuffs in the last two games and is a total steal.

We've now stolen two difference making starters from the Bills in like six months.

I love finding these gems when a post was meant for the game thread. I've done it several times myself. Nothing like reliving an old thread and coming across someone's sheer disgust at the game that was happening at the time. They're like little timestamp treasures.

He's not a "Thumper", he's a 3 down MIKE.

KPL has played well but I hope we get to see Eligwe at the WILL spot at some point this season because it's possible that Eligwe and Ragland are the future.

Tanoh wasn't awful yesterday, either.

Of course, the defense hasn't been the issue during the 1-5 stretch...

They were definitely bringing Ragland off the field on 3rd downs quite a bit yesterday.

Maybe they don't like his sideline to sideline speed.

Probably more like they don't trust him to cover receivers yet.

Dude, why split hairs with me here?

He is a 'thumper' in the general sense that he flys to the ball with bad intentions, he attacks ball carriers... he has been bringing the wood for two weeks now, showing himself to be a very physical LB

I saw him come off the field a couple of 3rd and longs as well.
Sorenson sub package in. Sorenson has had a couple of good games as well, but he has been more down than up. Sure would like to see Eligwe get a few more snaps at the Will spot. If nothing else, like to see how aggressively they need to pursue that position this off season.

He’s still getting into game shape.

Last week, he stayed in more on 3rd downs.

He’s definitely a 3 down backer once he’s fully recovered and in shape.

Well, basically because Thumpers are 2 down guys and unable to stay on the field on 3rd down.

I’m really excited for his future. Barring injury, he’s going to be special in 2018.

It’s too bad he suffered the ACL in August 2016 but if he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have been available for a 2019 4th round pick.

Sorenson is a warrior. He was put into a no win position - being asked to replace a unique All-Pro safety without any change in the defensive scheme to account for his natural limitations. Every week he's one of the few Chiefs who would lay the wood on tackles. He may have gotten wiped out by OL on clean blocks, but he always brings 100% effort.

Wasn't questioning Sorenson's effort. His skill set for what he is getting paid leaves a little something to be desired though....
