Two lazy pieces of shit we drafted back-to-back at #5 in 2008 and #3 in 2009.

That may be the WORST year over year wastes and busts of high first round picks.
I still remember the shock of pretty much every person here when we picked Tyson Jackson. There had been some rumors late in the pre-draft, and everyone laughed them off as ludicrous.

Of course, the other players that we were discussing all ended up being no better. Aaron Curry, Mark Sanchez, Eugene Monroe ... that was not a good draft class.

I wanted Crabtree bad in that draft.

I had a buddy who swore Aaron Maybin was the second coming of Jason Taylor. He…uhh…wasn’t.

I dunno if I could put together the right 5 to be on this list, but I do know that ANY list that doesn’t have Bobby Bell is wrong.

I don’t know how great they were but the 1997 secondary was one I thought was just amazing as a kid. Probably a lot due to the 13-3 record.

Dale Carter
James Hasty
Reggie Tongue
Jerome Woods.

Honorable Mention: Derrick Johnson (My personal favorite defensive player ever, but obviously not one of these guys in terms of talent and production)
This is my list. I loved Berry and DJ as well as some of the other modern players, but they weren't hall of famers. The first 4 are in Canton and Jones probably will be after he retires. I just can't justify putting players who didn't have hall of fame careers on a list of the best in franchise history over these guys.
