I'll be shocked if the Chiefs don't get Mahomes a starting-quality WR and TE. Should be fun.

I think we should focus free agency and the draft on the defense this year, and then next year we can get a WR and TE.

our current crop of WRs are only going to improve with Mahommes. TE, well...yeah could use an upgrade, maybe Martellius Bennett who was just released.

What would be great is if when we play the Rams ,Mahomes picks on Peters the whole game. 3 TD's to his side and 12 completions. We know the little bitch is scared to tackle.

I don't really care if we were to stay with our current group of TEs but we need to get reasonably priced free agent WR IMO.

For Mahomes's first year starting, you need to make sure you have a good group of receivers even if you were to lose Hill or Kelce for the season.

There were a dozen or so of us butt****s who had identified him as a superstar in the making back last January. He was easily QB1 for me in that draft.

Then, you hear about how bad guys like Reid, Payton, O’Brien, Arians, even the Seahawks and Giants supposedly wanted him.. I don’t get why no one took their shot in the top 5 or 6.

I know he wasn’t the safest pick in the world, but the upside was obvious from day one and he never had attitude or off-field problems.

He checks all the boxes in regard to the position.

1. Combination of superior arm strength and pinpoint accuracy.
2. Sixth sense connection with receivers, ability to place the ball where only the receiver can get it.
3. Learns the offensive system and runs it with unfettered poise. (Andy Reid protege)
4. Studies film; able to read opponent's defensive schemes and anticipate their likely moves. (Alex Smith in the QB room)
5. Able to stay calm in the midst of pressure and make wise decisions about how best to distribute the ball. (His best quality)
6, Ability to quickly scan downfield to find the most open receiver. (Preseason game)
7. Mastery of the 2 minute offense. (Denver game)
8. Demonstrates leadership on the field; motivates and makes other players better. (Albert Wilson)
9. Openly shares his appreciation and all success with the other members on the team.
10. The ability to lead a team back to victory in the fourth quarter. (Denver game)
11. Rises to the occasion in all games; even more so in big games read opponent's defensive schemes and anticipate their likely moves.
12. Able to stay calm in the midst of pressure and make wise decisions about how best to distribute the ball.
13. Good parental lineage.
14. Multi-sport athlete.
15. Ultra competitive.
16. Throwing on the run while looking downfield.

Dude has got it all.

It's not a question about if he will be good, it's how good. Dude has legendary potential. Every game he makes PLAYS that are once in a season/career for most QBs...
