That, and the jayhawks losing to Mike Bibby with what I still say was KUs greatest collection of talent at all positions......that was a travesty, as that team beats arizona 8 out of 10 times.
Not sure why KU/Arizona wasn't as scarring to me... was relatively young and must not have realized how good that team actually was at the time.

IMO, in no way was the 2014 Royals scarring, and I was at game 7 of the WS (and paid out the ass for it).... that was such an amazing and unexpected run.... I mean, 2 minutes after the final out, fans in our section were chanting "thank you, Roy-als". And you knew they'd be back. Yeah, watching the game wasn't all sunshine and roses, but it was all just icing on the cake at that point........ similar to KU/Kentucky in the NC (except baseball is much more of a 50/50 game, of course).

I agree about the 14 ws loss. I just knew we would get back. I just knew that group would win one.

I could be wrong, but it seems like for some reason, we didn't get to see the whole game. It was way before every game was broadcast, and I remember joining the game late. Its all a little foggy now. I remember thinking how could that team have lost?! But yeah, it didn't rip my heart out like UNI or VCU.
