vimeo.com/11883171 grab him now at a fair deal, he'll have better stats heanyways. I like the way he fights for a first down and anything you throw his way. He'd fit in nicely with Maclin and Kelce... Wilson as the #3 WR.

I don't see how Benjamin is a good fit for us... He makes at least half of his yards on deep balls, and unless Andy is ready to completely change his offense then that makes zero sense in our system.

darrius heyward bey might be someone to look at.... he kind of resurrected his career in Pittsburgh, is a vet with size and some speed but wasn't a star for steelers so he wouldn't command a lot of money

I wouldn't think him to be a good fit.. unreliable routes and hands. He's probably a better fit for teams/QBs that like to backyard ball and chuck it up.

I would hope/think that Conley would fill the #2 position next year and move Wilson to the slot. But, I would want Chiefs to draft a small, speedy WR that could play the slot and also help out with punt returns. Wilson can be improved upon.

At this point I'd be complacent giving Sanu 3.5 mil a year and keeping Conley/Wilson in the lineup. With James O Shaugnessy(?) returning that's plenty of places to throw the ball around. Especially when you have 3 running backs next season that create <7 mil in cap hits.
Patch up the o-line and find a #2-3 receiver. This offense will be sensational. |

The offense overall needs an injection of some veteran presence, especially at receiver. The problem is that the FA class is weak. Other tham Maclin, there is a lot of youth at the position and let's assume Avant is done. There is talent in the draft, but I'm not sure we want to bring it along during a contending window. Our O-line is young as well, which bodes well for the future, but in the meantime the offense needs to make gains this offseason with added depth and weapons.
The draft should be dedicated to defense. There are some long-in-the-tooth vets on D who will be moving on shortly, so its time to replenish there and add some speed and physicality. |
