Up next Patriotcheaters and fig Newton

On to the next game but at least it's a home game not that the crowed makes much difference but the Patriots won't be in charge of the play clock.

Cam is I think a better passer than TimLamarTebowJackson, but we do got to account for his running abilities as well. We have Mahomes they don't so advantage Chuefs.

Hopefully Sneed and Jones are ready to play.

Bill will have some exotic blitz packages to throw at Mahomes and some defensive allignments last used in 1952 to try and confuse him.

This is the week the Chiefs should go full power running game. I don't think their D line and LBers are anything special.

Good grief no. Stick with what got you there. Run a bit more maybe but playing smash mouth with the Patriots would be a mistake. Score fast, score often, force them to play from behind.

The Faders were having some success with their running game. I think our Oline can push them around. My guess is the Pats will "take" away that deep ball and dare us to run. This is what they did before- but who knows what Bill will dream up.

Based on the Pats scoring efficiency and their lack of a DL pass rush, I think Andy's going to want to score early and often. Once he gets a 20+ point lead, he'll take his foot off the gas and we'll see a lot of rushes, but we're still going to pass some, unless the Pats just can't stop our running game by the middle of the second half.

The Raiders are built for smash mouth. In fact, they're really not built for anything BUT smash mouth.

And it's not just about throwing deep, it's about scoring. Against this Pats offense, you want to score as much as you can. It takes them out of their gameplan and forces them into passing - it's very similar to the Ravens, actually.

You don't want to play TOP with these guys. Run the ball to keep them honest? Sure, but don't focus on it. You're just playing their game.

The announcers said Gilmore already had 2 PI calls when he was flagged again. Is there an issue there? Maybe you are right- we go right for the jugular. Kelce has been absolutely gutting teams as well and I don't think they have anyone that can cover him.

Hopefully someone will put up a voting poll. I think we might just put a 50 spot on the board. Houston and Baltimore both scored points when the game was already over. I think it will happen again this Sunday. I’m going with a 50-27 KC win.

Patriots have been flagged for ZERO offensive penalties through 3 games...

Yeah...no preseason but they haven't committed a single hold.

Kraft still has his fangs in NFL corporate...they pretended "tuggy-gate" never happened.

No suspension..no fines. Amazing...

I still cant believe the Dolphins didn't get a single drive-crushing penalty...during that go ahead scoring drive. I was just sitting there...waiting for it. Late, game-altering calls had been a reliable part of their success...maybe THAT was Kraft's punishment.

Last week was a battle against a power team who wants to smack teams in the mouth to win. This coming week is a team that like to use their brains to win games.

Different week, new test for the Chiefs

Any gameplan that takes the ball out of Mahomes hands should be immediately thrown out. Good grief.

Last year when the Chiefs went to NE in week 14(?), when NE's defense was widely touted as the best defense in the league, KC went in there and scored 20 points in the first half (17 points in the second quarter) before Patrick hurt his hand. It was going to be yet another score-a-palooza in the second half if Mahomes doesn't get hurt on that flukey play.

This year what is it? 5 NE defensive starters opted out? Sorry, but as amazing as Belichick is at hiding the weaknesses of his defense, I just don't see how he gets around the fact that he's working with a lot of chickenshit across his defense. So the Chiefs are going to score, and in bunches.

So then the only question is can the Patriots offense score enough to keep up or win? If our defense plays to about 80%-90% of how they did Monday night, now way, no how. Last week, against one of the worst defenses in the league against both the pass and run, the Patriots only managed 3 TDs on offense, and only 6 scoring possessions total.

And btw, that 30 points the Pats put on SEA? Really the Patriots offense only scored 23 points against one of the worst Ds in the league. So in fact the Patriots offense underachieved against a bargain basement defense. The other TD was a pick-6.

Our defense is a lot better than SEA's, even if they don't come out and play the way they did on MNF. They're going to have a much tougher time scoring. But even if they don't, 3 TDs and a couple FGs aren't going to be enough to get it done.

That means that the Pats are going to play outside their comfort zone just to sniff a win. Cam is going to have to play a lot better, and be a much better QB than he has been so far. Their defense is going to have to play at least as well as they did last season when they had all of their starters. And Bill is going to coach a perfect game with a perfect game-plan.

Meanwhile, all the Chiefs have to do is play the way they've been playing for the last 12 games or so. On defense, stop the run, contain their QB, let Tyrann, Clark, Jones, and Thorny hunt. On offense, just play the way they have been since the beginning of the playoffs last season, excluding the part where they drop a handful of 1st down passes. If they just play to their average, the Chiefs will score on 7+ possessions, and 4-5 of them will be TDs.

Depending on how weak the NE pass rush really is, it could be a lot worse than that for DE's defense by the end of the game.

How much Patriots football have you watched this year?

BB is still there but this is not a finesse team. They absolutely want to play power and smack you in the mouth.
