We’re all celebrating buffalos fall but now we likely have to get ahead of Buffalo for a WR in the draft.

Cardinals @ 27 right before Buffalo's pick @ 28 would be glorious!

And if we thought Mitchell was obviously better than those guys, we'd probably look to execute a trade-up anyway because Buffalo was STILL going to be looking at WR in this draft and we wouldn't have been willing to risk it; it's not how Veach rolls. This doesn't change things much for KC's draft board strategy.

Good deal for buffalo. This isn’t 26 year old Stefon Diggs. He looked washed late last year.

Does this feel like a roster rebuild approach? Or a shipping off the malcontent despite it hurting us in the short term approach (ala Marcus Peters)?

Really good move for Houston. With the rookie cap why not just go all in knowing you have the QB you want on a rookie contract? Spend it all and then worry about cap later when he's due for a long term deal

Well, I guess I didn't understand why Houston would do this, but they don't have a 1st rounder as of right now. They have the 42nd and the 59th picks. https://www.nfl.com/news/2024-nfl-dr...l-seven-rounds
But still a lot of moolah for Diggs. I don't think I would've taken on his contract. |

They can take a chance on him this year and hope it makes their offense unstoppable. If it doesn't work out, they can cut him after this season for only the dead money above. They probably figured it was a risk worth taking this year to try and make a run in the playoffs. |

He's not going to be cheap if they want to keep him after this season. Though in terms of actual long-term risk, there really isn't any for them.
